We really believe that Number Eight is a great place to stay on your visit
to Belfast. But why would you stay here?
Is it noisy?
Number Eight is in a quiet, residential area, at the end of a small cul-de-sac. The residents are either working professionals or are retired.
What are the bedrooms like?
There are three bedrooms upstairs. The main bedroom has a King size bed, the
second bedroom has a double bed and there is a single bed in the third bedroom.
There are bedside tables in all the rooms, with a reading light and convenient
charging facilities. There is amble storage space in each room.
What about the bathroom?
Everything in the bathroom is brand new and there is a with a full size bath and a large walk in shower and a large heated towel rail. There is also a small toilet downstairs.
What about the rest of the house?
In the lounge there is a lovely, comfy sofa with lots of cushions and there are
two other lounge chairs. The separate dining room has a dining table with
lovely, recently upholstered chairs. The kitchen has also had a complete make over. There has been a new gas boiler installed, so there is always plenty of hot water for you. As a family we have redecorated the whole house and have laid wooden floors downstairs and there are brand new fluffy carpets upstairs.
What is the garden like?
There is a south-facing rear garden with a large lawn for you to enjoy. The
garden is fenced on all sides, which means it is safe and secure. We have
provided a range of outdoor games for you to enjoy. If the Northern Irish
weather isn’t the best, there is a large covered sun room with a comfy sofa.
What if I need something?
We always try to ensure that Number Eight has all that you might need to enjoy
your stay. If you find there is something else that you need, or if have you
have any problems during your stay, we are close by to help out.
What if I want to cook during my stay?
The kitchen is fully equipped and features an electric hob and oven. There are
a variety of saucepans as well as utensils and some basic ingredients if you
want to cook up a storm!
What if I don’t want to cook during my stay?
There are lots of different options around Finaghy Crossroads, which is a 2
minute walk from the property. They include a KFC and a SubWay as well as
Chinese, Indian, Turkish, Nepalese, Pizza and Fish and Chip takeaways.
There are lots of well-known restaurant chains around the area as well as
smaller specialty restaurants on the Lisburn Road. Our folder will have lots
more details.
What about the bed linen, bedding and towels?
This is all from Marks and Spencer and are pure Egyptian Cotton.
Are the beds comfortable?
The mattresses were chosen because of their comfort and quality.
What is there to entertain us?
There is a Smart 50 inch flatscreen TV, which you can use to log in to your
favourite streaming service. There is also a DVD player with a selection of
DVD’s, wi-fi and a bluetooth speaker. We have also provided a HDMI cable if you
would like to connect your own content. If you would rather take a break from
technology, there are some board games and books.
Will my car be safe?
There is private driveway with gates for your sole use. There is also on-street parking outside the house.
What if I don’t want to use my car?
It is only a 30 second walk to a main bus route with frequent service to the
city centre and Titanic Belfast. Finaghy railway station is half a mile away or
a taxi costs around £7 to the city centre.
Where is the nearest shop?
There is a convenience store a 30 second walk away.
What if I need to visit a supermarket?
There is a Tesco store a 4-minute drive away and there are several local
supermarkets within a one mile radius.
What about local retail therapy?
There are many well-known high street stores located around Boucher Road, which
is five minutes away by car. Sprucefield Shopping Centre (which hosts the
largest Marks and Spencer’s in Ireland) is a 10 minutes drive away. The Lisburn
Road has many popular shops, boutiques, wine bars, restaurants and coffee
houses and is a 5 minute drive away.
What if I like my speciality coffee?
There are several independent coffee shops around the Crossroads, which is a
1-minute walk away.
What if I fancy a stroll?
There are lots of parks close by and more information is in our folder.
What if I’m not sure about what to see or do in Belfast?
We have prepared a detailed information pack which lists lots of the best restaurants,
cafes and bars as well as lots of things to see and places to visit during your
stay. As a family, we have lived in Belfast all of our lives, and would love to
help you in any way we can.
What if I want to travel a bit further?
Because the apartment is close to the motorway, travelling outside of Belfast
is very easy. The famous Causeway Coast is just over 60 minutes away, the
Fermanagh Lakeland is 90 minutes away and you can get to Dublin in less than 2
hours.
If you want to visit somewhere closer, the Mountains of Mourne (an Area of
Outstanding Natural Beauty) are 50 minutes away.
